Students are naturally addicted to technology. The Internet provides a text/visual multimedia environment that immerses the student in a genuine whole language learning experience. An experience where the student is HIGHLY motivated to learn and construct meaning. An environment that can accelerate literacy at all levels. Finally, if this is true today, think of how much more this will be true when true high bandwidth access becomes commonplace.
